Yoga | The Dover Church
Yoga with Max is a moderate Kripalu yoga aimed for people of all abilities and experience. The goal of the class is to promote spiritual and physical well being through a series of postures that can be adapted for those who need either less or more strenuous experience. The class meets on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 am until 10:15 am in our Kraft Hall. The class is free, although free will offerings are welcome. All gifts go to The Dover Church Youth Empowerment Fund: Helping Youth Help – a fund for teenagers interested in doing some good in the world. All mats, blocks and other equipment are provided. Parking is available at The Dover Church and Kraft Hall is handicapped accessible.
We know how daunting it can be to come to a new church for the first time. All of us had a first time and we’re glad we dared. We hope you’ll be glad too. Here’s some of what you might like to know before walking up the front stairs.
At the center of worship in our Christian tradition is the sermon, a time to reflect on where God’s Word intersects, informs, enriches and directs our lives. In the sermon our in-house theologian, our pastor, seeks to help people see themselves and their lives in the light of God’s love and command to love others.
