Festival Choir

The Festival Choir is ideal for those who are looking for a more limited commitment geared toward specific services and events and do not require prior choral or musical experience.  The Festival Choir includes the Sanctuary and has only a few, limited rehearsals throughout the year which focus on a particular service or season.  The first opportunity in our 2019-2020 season is for Thanksgiving Sunday, November 24.  Festival Choir rehearsals will be held both November 13 and November 20.  Rehearsals for our Service of Lessons and Carols (December 22) and Christmas Eve will be Wednesday, December 18. This is a terrific opportunity to include family and friends home or visiting for the holidays throughout the year.

Rev. Dr. Max Olmstead preaching

At the center of worship in our Christian tradition is the sermon, a time to reflect on where God’s Word intersects, informs, enriches and directs our lives. In the sermon our in-house theologian, our pastor, seeks to help people see themselves and their lives in the light of God’s love and command to love others.
