LGBTQ+ Panel Discussion at Coffee Hour

At The Dover Church, we are continuing an ongoing and thoughtful conversation about how we can live even more fully into our Open and Affirming covenant—with one another and with the wider community around us.

As part of this work, we invite you to join us for an LGBTQ+ panel discussion during coffee hour on Sunday, February 8, at 11:15 a.m. This gathering will be a space for learning, listening, and respectful dialogue, hosted in the spirit of care and inclusion that grounds our faith.

What to Expect

This panel is an opportunity to bring your questions—both big and small—including:

  • What does it mean to be a faith community that truly welcomes everyone?
  • How can I support a loved one who may be questioning or who has recently come out?
  • How can I grow as an ally and walk alongside LGBTQ+ siblings with faith and compassion?

We recognize that asking questions or speaking up can feel challenging. To help create a space where everyone feels comfortable participating, questions may be submitted anonymously ahead of time using this link: https://tinyurl.com/TDCLGBTQPanel2026. There will also be opportunities to ask questions—either anonymously or aloud—during the panel itself.

Refreshments & Hospitality

Coffee hour refreshments will be provided, featuring empanadas, generously sponsored by the Deacons’ Outreach Ministry.

We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful conversation as we continue to learn how to love more fully, listen more deeply, and live more faithfully together.
